The Attitude of Gratitude Project, Inc. is a Not-For-Profit Corporation dedicated to making our world a better place by encouraging the active, daily expression of gratitude for everything that is right with our world.
The Attitude of Gratitude Project was founded in honor of Dr. Vernon Boushell, who was very active in the local classical music community in Brevard County, Florida. During his long life, he made music available for the masses by conducting community choruses that regularly performed free concerts of the great classical oratorios. There was never a charge to sing or play in these performances, nor did he ever charge admission for the shows. The entire music program over several decades was funded by donations.
In addition to filling his world with music, Dr. Boushell taught all who would listen the importance of maintaining an attitude of gratitude in the face of whatever challenges life throws our way. At the end of his life, in spite of declining health, Dr. Boushell's own attitude of gratitude never faltered. He was truly an inspiration and shining example of a life lived by the guiding principles of love and gratitude.
In keeping with Dr. Boushell's example, The Attitude of Gratitude Project, Inc. has adopted the mission of educating people about the importance of maintaining an attitude of gratitude, and encourages the daily expression of that gratitude in an online gratitude journal shared by people from all over the world.
The educational arm of The Attitude of Gratitude Project includes the Living Gratitude Blog as well as public speaking engagements by our founder, Valerie Saurer. Our charitable arm is aimed toward community classical music programs, helping to pay for musicians, instruments, music, and lessons so that all people everywhere have access to beautiful music.
The Attitude of Gratitude Project is a member in good standing of the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, and has been promoting gratitude locally in Brevard County, Florida, since 1998.
We invite you to find us on Facebook, where we post daily reminders of all the many things in our world for which we can be grateful. Come, share your gratitude with us.
Words really do make a difference. Make your words grateful ones. What are you grateful for today?
